interesting

I like the storyline of this novel. I like how the author put into deep detail of every sex encounter the couple had. I also like how it had told a little bit about each character's past stories expecially his side and how he got into being a Dom and submissive sex life. I also thought it was interesting how she agreed to be the submissive to his sex games. Until the end when it got too much for her. -- - 05/08/2016

Meh
Don't get me wrong, this is a hot read. But it is very clear that this started as a fanfiction(for those of you who may not know, 50 Shades of Grey started off as a Twilight fanfiction that was converted into a standard novel). Anastasia is very clear "Mary Sue" character, which can be fun for the reader as it makes it very easy to place yourself in her shoes. The writing is mediocre at best, but is a surprisingly fast read. I am not ashamed to admit I finished this book in a day. The cliffhanger-ish ending is a bit of a cope out though, it essentially forces you to read the next book because it feels like a very sudden and abrupt end that isn't quite an end. It is definitely enough to get you all hot and bothered, but don't be expecting a Pulitzer Prize winning book. -- - 05/17/2016
